Happy 60th birthday to SEGA!

Happy 60th birthday to SEGA!
SEGA celebrates its 60th anniversary this month.

The legendary amusement and console games manufacturer and producer, which has a HQ at 42 Barwell Business Park, was established on 3, June 1960.

Company founders, Richard D. Stewart and Raymond J. Lemaire, began by importing, selling, renting, and maintaining commercial amusement equipment.

“Service Games Japan Co. Ltd.” was established with the aim of selling products to the US military and domestic facilities. The name “SEGA” is taken from the first two letters of “Service” and “Games”.

To celebrate its 60th anniversary the company launched the brand-new logo “GO SEGA”. SEGA’s mission is to continue to create moving experiences and has adopted the key message "GO SEGA" to express its determination to forge ahead as a company that delivers compelling experiences to everyone.
